Unable to unmount a volume
When clicking mount on an existing unmounted volume, it will be mounted it; provided:
- Store and index volume paths point to validate directories where the store and index data actually resides on disk. Check that valid paths specified in the volume's store and index paths.
- The volume store and index directories must be accessible to the account that the MailArchiva service runs under. If running on a remote share, it may be necessary to change the Logon account of the MailArchiva service to an account with adequate permissions to access the store and index directories on disk, and then restart the MailArchiva service.
- There is a file called volumeinfo present in the store path. Check that this file is present. It may not have been copied over.
- The volumeinfo file residing in the volume store path is not corrupted or malformed. If you suspect the file is corrupted, send it to support for analysis.
- The content of volumeinfo file has not been changed without first removing the signature line from the text file.
As an alternative, you could, stop the MailArchiva service. Edit the server.conf file in C:\ProgramData\MailArchiva\ROOT\conf\server.conf using a text editor. Find the section where the volume is defined and set the unmounted to false, then start the MailArchiva service. After MailArchiva starts, verify that the volume is mounted correctly.
